About Me

It has always been my passion in life to care and work with children.  I was given the opportunity early on to begin coaching gymnastics at the age of 13. (I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years).  I have been working in child related jobs ever since.

I attended Millersville University in Pennsylvania to achieve my B.S. in Education.  My concentration was in Early Childhood Education, so I left the school dually certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I then moved to Virginia to attain a job teaching fifth grade at Bristow Run Elementary School.  I taught for two years before I had my first daughter, Cassidy.   I am still currently certified to teach in the state of Virginia.

I am 34 years old with three girls, 10, 9 and 6, all three of which attend T. Clay Wood Elementary School this year.  I have been married for 14  years, and am very involved in my church, Gainesville Presbyterian near the Wegmans on 29.  I coach gymnastics three to four times a week while my girls are in their own classes. All three are now are competing, so we have a very busy practice and competitive schedule.  I enjoy digital scrapbooking, working out, and dabbling with some sewing projects, trying new wines, and hanging out with friends and family, when we can catch a moment where we’re not at the gym.

I am currently CPR and First Aid certified for adults and children/infants.  I am NOT licensed or voluntarily registered with the State of Virginia.

Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions.  My email is jes.k.poe@gmail.com or you can call me at 703-472-2780.

I look forward to meeting you and your family.
